TINY HOUSE for College Students

AB 302 IN CALIFORNIA

Assembly Bill 302 in California requires all community colleges to allow students to sleep in their cars overnight in the school's parking lots. Although the bill is a generous act and is very much welcome by the EDUCATION COMMUNITY but we feel it is not enough.

We are proposing that colleges face this issue head-on and implement PAD housing, either in existing parking lots, on-campus or near it.

Hundreds of thousands of students don't have access to secure housing. Many are living out of small, cramped cars and rely on school showers and locker rooms to get by. Those without housing have a variety of issues to deal with, but a lack of comfortable shelter is the main concern. Without a place to rely on, feel safe, and rest, people who are homeless struggle to survive. No one deserves to live in their car or on the street regardless of the circumstances.

We believe the "FAST DWELLING PAD -TINY HOUSE" is an affordable and accessible option for colleges, struggling families, and municipalities who are suffering from the issue of homelessness.

THIS IS A TINY SOLUTION THAT WILL HAVE GREAT IMPACT

We call this configuration FAST DWELLING PADS a Tiny space or should we say a TINY HOUSE with versatility. The units are 102 square feet and easy to build. The panels are made of (MgO) Magnesium Oxide panels, with (EPS) Expanded Polystyrene and Structural Insulated Panel (SIP). It offers 42+ R factor insulation, provides significantly higher strength, able to withstand abuses, vandalism, as well as fire, flood, mold, termite damages.

The panels are held with steel specialized brackets, bolted together efficiently without the traditional noise and waste associated with stick-built construction. Assemble on-site in less than 6 hours by 2 to three individuals trained with build basics. The PAD can expand by adding additional units (up to 4), like Legos, yet can still firmly stand against 130 mile per hour wind rates. It is a patented technology configured as earthquake-proof developed by Engr. Toshi Ghalebi.

OUR CALL TO EVERYONE

We at FAST DWELLINGS a company that pioneer ADUs and modular constructions for commercial and residential real estate, do understand corporate responsibility. Though the crisis is at the national level and has affected almost all sectors of our society; though the magnitude of the problem is overwhelming, it is never too late to help people in crisis. At this point, our group would like to spearhead a collective effort to build and answers dwelling needs for at least 100 college students, 500 families, for 50 municipalities across the country.

THE GOAL of $8,888 IS PER QUALIFIED NOMINATED BENEFICIARY what we really need is to gather a total of $5,332,800.

Now we do not need to wait for MILLIONS to come in before we do something, we want this project to roll. So as soon as we have accumulated donation enough to assemble one PAD, as soon as we have at least $8,888, prefabrication will start right away, and reserve it for the first beneficiary shortlist by the Qualifying Team.

As soon as we have gathered the first $8,888, immediately the process of coordination, looking for a lot and securing installation permits if needed will be underway.

This campaign will run per $8,888 cycle until we reach $5,332,800 needed for a total of 600 beneficiaries.

For $25 donation all together we can house hundreds if not all.
